Arts Marketplace provides business training and professional development tools for individual artists and creative entrepreneurs to gain exposure, advance their career and grow professionally.
•Delivered over 24 educational workshops, 20 monthly exhibitions and 18 community events with leading experts addressing business issues confronting artists and creative entrepreneurs.
•Forged strategic alliance with the Center for Cultural Innovation, L.A. for Business of Art curriculum and ACCION, for access to capital for individual artists and creative entrepreneurs at Arts Marketplace.
•Secured $20K Professional Development Grants for Artists of Color intended to support the professional development of artists of color from Ford Foundation through the Community Foundation for Arts Marketplace prior to official non-profit designation.
•Wrote and submitted all materials and reports resulting in the successful completion of IRS 501 c3 designation for Arts Marketplace in a three month period.
•Formed collaborative relationship with local businesses and community organizations to build economic opportunities for individual artists and creative entrepreneurs.
